Computer Science at KS4
In KS4 all students will be provided with opportunities to develop their capability, creativity and knowledge of computer science and information technology even if they don't specifically choose them as options.
Students will develop and apply their analytic, problem solving, design, and computational thinking skills by making use of ICT across the curriculum and in a number of subject areas. We are also planning to incorporate elements of computer science like code breaking, data handling and problem solving into some of the KS4 Maths lessons. There will be further opportunities for students to engage in computational think and programming during some cross-curricular days over the three years of KS4. We take our responsibility to enable students to understand how changes in technology affect safety, including their own online privacy and identity, and this is part of our wider programme of assemblies and PSHE.
